Log Number: 4405511Logbook(s): Body:

Replaced SCE power supply for MQP5C10 as readbacks were still fluctuating. Will continue to monitor closely. Will more than likely need to check magnet connections in the tunnel next opportunity. OPS restored setpoint and cycled supply.

Log Number: 4405507Logbook(s): Entry Makers: samariBody:

The RF heat load for 1L09-5 at 18 MV/m seems to have swung the NL pressure and dropped the heat margin considerably.

1L06-4 RF recovery

5 days 19 hours ago
Log Number: 4405502Logbook(s): Entry Makers: kernsBody:

Cavity recovered without problem. Looks like the cavity was detuned 95 degrees when gradient ramped to fast and tripped the cavity with 7 kw CRFP. 7kw is a lot of energy to throw into an untuned cavity to fast. and it will usually trip the cavity and RF script will try to turn it back on seconds afterwards and trip it again. These high gradient cavities need to be walked up slowly if they continue to drop out with this much CRFP and the tuners should not exceed 30 degrees or less when it is being walked up manually !!

1L09-5 cavity tuner (backlash, but getting better)

5 days 19 hours ago
Log Number: 4405490Logbook(s): Body:

Channels: R195TDISC, R195GLOS

1L09-5 was recovered today by the RF team. In bringing back this cavity to reference we noticed that there was some bad backlash.

We leveraged Tom's idea of moving the motrs back and forth by a few kHz until the backlash seems to get better.

This helped the backlash get better but it is still present.

Check magnet output connections in connector of magnet output cable, and inside the supply itself for the following SCE's:
MQP5C10- Found loose connections in both locations. Tightened and will continue to monitor current/voltage readback until later today. Leaving PTW-7785 open for now.
MQR2C08- Found nothing loose. Will check magnet connections inside the tunnel at next opportunity.
MQKAR06- Found loose connections inside the supply.
