Moving on to optimizing IDX rates to 6R, damped the amplitude of the vertical oscillation through 6L and got another 20% reduction in 6S01 IDX rate, though at the cost of bringing up the position at 6S01 by 2.6 mm. Only ended up keeping the 5R10V corrector change.

Stringing out beam from 4R to 5R dumplette, some IDX activity in 6R10 showed up. Managed to tamp it down to background levels by adjusting the vertical recombiner launch with a combination of correctors 4R08V and 4R10V. Horizontal steering had no appeciable effect.

Note that steering was done while running to the 5R dumplette, so we suspect that the 6S01 IDX signal is actually from scraping around 4S. Tried multiple iterations of horizontal and vertical steering with the 3R correctors. The challenge is that adjusting the vertical 3R launch into 4L improves the 6S01 levels up to a point, after which the 4E02 IDX starts lighting up. 4S steering had little to no effect on reducing the 4E02 levels once they appeared. The best I was able to get 6S01 without affecting 4E02 was about a 50% reduction using only 3R10V.

Steered in 3R to reduce IDX activity in 6S. 3R07V seemed to be the magic button that reduced IIX6S01 from ~250 to ~3. However, the changes from 3R07 increased IIX4E02, so 3R10V was adjusted to lower IIX4E02 to ~5. This increased IIX6S01 to ~30.

In our attempts to minimize IDX rates, we had a small amount of success in reducing the 5S01 signal by adjusting the vertical launch into 5L. Unsurprisingly, given the low energy, the beam is very sensitive to magnet changes, and responsive to gang phase. We can minimize the rates with only gang phase, but that smears the beam across the 1A SLM to the point that it's almost invisible. Not ideal. Efforts continue.

After inserting dumplets from downstream to upstream, we learned the IIX6S01 activity is actually coming from the 4S region.

Fig. 1, 2 shows elevated IDX6S01 activity.
Fig. 3 shows through steering a reduction of IDX6S01 activity.
Fig. 4 shows 4L-4E orbit after IDX6S01 reduction.

Attempting to correct orbit while maintaining low rates.

After adjusting gangphase, and adding an energy offset, IDX6S01 was greatly reduced with a decent orbit. Figs 5-7.
