This afternoon Riad, Shukui, Nate, Jerry and I made various measurements to test controls for the beam generation from the polarized source. I belive Nate/Jerry made a separate logobook entry, however I can say we verified the laser bypass system works as expected.
Recently, based on good observations by Reza, Ben, Jay and others we have good data which suggests the Hall C laser shutter was not closing in beam sync. When this happens a reduced amount of cw light reaches the photocathode.

BLA System is showing problem with Hall C Shutter only in 24 hours before leak
The BLA system is showing very large integrated loss in the last 24 hours before the leak when we think the shutter was not stopping the laser. After FSD trips the beam stayed in the machine for ~ 3 seconds before FC1 went in. The level of this beam current is about 0.01 of the C beam.
So, 20 uA * 0.01 * 3 * 1,000,000 = 600,000.
