Figure 1: note that all vertical axes except the top one are log scales and everything is below 1. The beam pipe to which the IDX is attached could be the source of the radiation; it's clearly decaying.
I went down with a Bicron. The IDX and everything in the vicinity read less that 100 microrem/hr on contact, so the unit isn't activated.
Figure 2: reading seems to have plateaued at 3 R/hr.
