Follow up: V-Wien trip offs

6 days 11 hours ago
Log Number: 4466868Logbook(s): Entry Makers: chgarciaBody:

With the Wien chiller set to 27 C and the spin angle set to 90 deg, the V Wien tripped off on 01-13-2026 at 21:36.

On 01-14-2026 I lowered the chiller temperature set point from 27 to 22 C.

The V-Wien tripped off again on 01-17-2026 at 10:33.

Operating the Wiens with the chiller has lenghtened the time between HV trip offs (prior to implementing Wien cooling, the Wien HV would trip off within 4 hours after setting the magnet current for 90 deg spin rotation. Lower temperature set point seems to help.
