Restoring C-beam to ILD

6 days 18 hours ago
Log Number: 4475632Logbook(s): Entry Makers: bschaumlBody:

Fig. 1: C-beam restored after setting 4D to straight-ahead and cycling. Phasing things obviously threw things off the rels quite a bit.
Fig. 2: C-beam steered to rels. 0R will have to be adjusted due to the energy having been off.

Pulse processed 1L07 and 1L09 please do FE onset measurements on swing/owl.

Log Number: 4475629Logbook(s): Body:

I finished pulse processed 1L07 today and 1L09 yesterday afternoon. Please do FE onset measurements on swing/own will it will no interfere with recovering other zones. When you turn off up stream and down stream zones (several either way) close the upstream beam line valve on 1L06 and the down stream valve on 1L10 in order to avoid dark current from curupting the measurements.

Checking Beams to 4D

6 days 18 hours ago
Log Number: 4475627Logbook(s): Entry Makers: bschaumlBody:

Figs. 1-3: Collinearity as found
Fig. 4: C-beam as found to the 4D
Fig. 5: C-beam on 4D viewer after phasing 0L03 & 0L04
Fig. 6: Changes to phases and energy lock cavity
Figs. 7-13: Variation of B-beam and D-beam on 4D viewer with changes to phase. They're both kinda funky and not responding to phase changes as I might expect; exhibiting a sort of s-shaped path on the viewer as I swing phase around. Perhaps something strange to do with the optics variations between beams due to the collinearity being off? I'll move on to seeing if I can improve that.

COMMENT ON Hall C Vacuum Controls HCO/Troubleshooting

6 days 18 hours ago
Log Number: 4475623Logbook(s): Body:

Removed valve simulator boxes for valves VBV3C20 and VBV3H04. Both showing actual position of valves in epics.
Vacuum group is still pumping on the 3H04 section of the beamline. Still not good enough to keep power supplies for VIP3H04, VIP3H07A and VIP3H07B from faulting off. Talked to Vacuum group, VBV3H07 valve might have a small leak.

Follow-up Re: Please do not ramp/apply voltage to the gun

6 days 19 hours ago
Log Number: 4475618Logbook(s): Tags: Body:

Updating the guidance for the operation of the gun high voltage system.

1. Ops can use the standard gun controls to ramp the gun on/off as usual and as needed to support the program.

2. If there is a gun fault unrelated to the PSS (meaning loss or drop of PSS-A/B chain) contact CIS on-call before restoring the gun voltage.

Thanks for your patience,
Joe
