Crew Chief Shift Log, 2026-06-06 OWL
Start of shift: Degrader beam studies in progress.
Crew Chief Timesheet Summary: 06 Jun 2026 OWL
I am suspicious of the central plug and/or C slit
Fig 1 shows that master slit interception is very very slightly higher when the central plug is *retracted*. The location of the central plug should have no bearing on MS interception at all. I could believe in the possibility of it seeing a hint of backscatter from the central plug when it's inserted but this seems to show the opposite, if only very slightly.
The angles of the central plug and C slit wrt y also make me suspicious.

Finished beam study - Inj charge/discharge
Previous test ran to FC#1
Today's test ran to FC#2
Fig. 1 - Previous test
Fig. 2 - Today's test (interception)
Fig. 3 - Today's test (positions)
Fig. 4 - Another look from previous test and today's test
- CC Noticed when central plug is taken out, master slit interception increases
- Gun uA sags throughout (as opposed to Fig.1 where previous test shows gun uA having more of a 'wave' like pattern
- Noticed a separation drift between IPM2I00A (X vs Y)
- Previous test A1 interception steady. Today's test A1 interception starts low then rises
- Previous test Laser Hut Temp steady.
2L05-8 caused BLVF in 2L05 and 2L06 when recovering after FE Onset
This occurred twice when ramping gradient in 2L05-8 in SEL. The first time VBV2L05B and both VBV2L06A and VBV2L06B closed, dropping RF in both zones. The second time, only VBV2L05B and VBV2L06A closed, dropping RF in 2L05.
No response in 2L05-8 WG Vac. Can see a response in 2L06 beamline vac.
Was able to recover it into SELAP at 12.0 then walk it back up to its ODVH of 16.8 without any issue.
MBC4A27H - mismatch - reseed & took setpoint

Figure 9, Cav 7: FE Free up to 21 MV/m
Figure 10, Cav 8: FE Onset at 13.5 MV/m. Cavity 8 limited to 18.8 MV/m. Was getting quench faults, so I masked the quench bits and tried to push it beyond 18.8, but the GMES readback seemed to saturate.
