COMMENT ON MPS system maintenance and repairs during run 2025

6 days 11 hours ago
Log Number: 4369822Logbook(s): Body:

For the upcoming maintenance day we would like to repair some damaged power and signal cables in the North Linac for the BLM's. This would require access to the NL if possible.
We will also install the HV supply to FSD system interface box that we removed earlier for repairs (reference log #4356378.) and has been running on our test stand for 3 weeks with know errors.

Negative Flow on Aluminum Skid

6 days 11 hours ago
Log Number: 4369816Logbook(s): Entry Makers: samariBody:

Just after given the all clear, we're seeing the aluminum water flow went negative? We're unsure as to the physicality of this readback so we're contacting I&C

The alarm goes when the readback hits zero, but does not latch once it moves negatively, which is concerning.

Tagger Aluminum Skid Pump Fixed

6 days 11 hours ago
Log Number: 4369814Logbook(s): Entry Makers: samariBody:

I&C informed us that the tagger skid pump's power supply was swapped and we've verified that all is functional. The soft warning for the high tank level was deemed nominal by I&C. FSD and the alarm handler show no issues.

13 Second Injector Oscillation Investigation

6 days 13 hours ago
Log Number: 4369767Logbook(s): Entry Makers: samariBody:

Using 1 minute's worth of BPM data in each arc when we were running micro amp current 5th pass (see Fig 1) with the corresponding FOpt's dispersion data, I was able to calculate the change in momentum given the 15 second oscillations peak energy variation at the 80 second interval.
