conditioned the NEG pumps in buncher/dipole region of injector phase2 space: VGP0I06 and VGP1D00A

Log Number: 4158777Logbook(s): Body:

With Marcy's guidance, the two flange mounted NEG pumps in the space between buncher and dipole chamber were conditioned (3V with 15 minute ramp and 30 minute soak - this provides ~ 2.5 A through each NEG pump). VGP0I06 and VGP1D00A. Pressure at turbo pump cart started ~ 1E-7 Torr and increased to midE-5Torr and then rolled over. Afterwards, pressure dropped fast. I burped the ion pumps once. Then after waiting for pump cart pressure to reach 3E-7Torr, I turned ion pumps ON and closed RA valve to pump cart. Ion pump current combined (two pumps) ~ 200 uA and falling.

NEG activation: VDP0O06 and VGP0I07

Log Number: 4158768Logbook(s): Entry Makers: marcyBody:

Activated AIPINJ2 girder 2 NEG pumps.

Yesterday, ramp to condition mode (250C for DP, 3V 2A for z100)
Today, full activation
Ramp time: 15 min. Soak for 75 min instead of 60 since temperature rise was slow.
P(max) at cart was 4e-4 Torr at ~15 minutes in. By end, pressure at cart had fallen to 1.7e-7 Torr.

Ion pumps turned on from pumpout port away to all pumps in section of beamline, and VBV0I05/6 (upstream of DP can) closed manually with screwdriver once VIP0I06 and VIP0I07 were energized and below 65 uA.

Beamline roughing valve closed, turbo cart left on for future work.

Disassembled the viewer. Replaced the chromox target with the YAG crystal. Replaced the bellows assembly with the new one. Aligned the target holder shaft at 45 degrees upstream beam direction. Inserted the viewer, and adjusted the turn buckle to center the YAG target. Installed the viewer assembly back on to the 4D00 beam line. Viewer mechanical work complete.

IOCSE8 & IOCSE15 Software Troubleshooting - COMPLETE

Log Number: 4158759Logbook(s): Entry Makers: sethgcumbiadsjamessawyerbevinsBody:

After the breaker exercises a while ago, IOCSE8 and IOCSE15 have not been able to come up properly, even after a hard reboot. So, after some investigation from Brian Bevins and Brad Cumbia, we found out the transition module had to be replaced for both IOCs. After swapping out the transition modules the IOCs came up without an issue.
