EESSAF LOTO Audit
EESSAF conducted an audit of the CEBAF and the experimental halls, as well as of LERF, GTS, UITF, VTA, CMTF and found one personal lock installed by SSG member on the RF Group LOTO box in the Injector (0L02 related work).
The individual has required training and good understanding of the RF equipment LOTO process, and his signature was found on the OSP signature sheet attached to Group LOTO box.
SSG also has administrative locks in place in several locations around the site.
Please contact Jerry Kowal with any questions.

COMMENT ON Re-install control chassis for VFV2L27
https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4159017
Results of testing VFV2L27. The valve was fired twice, testing the interlock to both the DP station, and the upstream ion pump. The spec for closing is ~10 ms or less, and the scope measurement indicates just over 2ms from vacuum fault to valve closure.
Testing NL27/SL27 Fast Valves
As part of SAD maintenance, Ins/Vac has installed a new fast valve in zone 2L27. This valve has been broken and subsequently buggered out for several years.
With the new valve in place, it was necessary to re-commission the controlling electronics that are interlocked to the 2L26 C100 chassis and the 2L27 DP station.
As part of the 2L27 restoration, I modified the FPGA code to make version x"0303" which will run on both 1L26 and 2L26.

ion pump FE testing
Testing ion pumps VIP0I06A and VIP0I07 before and after activating adjacent NEG pumps.
In both graphs, the ion pump current before the activation is shown on the right and after NEG activation on the left vertical axis.
The pressure is much lower in both pumps, and the field emission in VIP0I07 has stopped.
Matt hipotted one of the pumps yesterday - he said it was 0I06A (DP can), which might have started field emitting after the full NEG activation. However, a field emitter is now missing from VIP0I07 so that could be the pump that got hipotted.
Both pumps are on a local control now.
